Any vendor can sell you an electronic health record system.  You can even buy an EHR at Walmart now!  But will that vendor stick with you?  Will you get adequate training on that EHR to make sure your staff is using it effectively?  You won't have to worry about those problems with CHNWV as your partner.  CHNWV has developed a unique training methodology that uses a holistic approach to take a health center from a completely paper based system to a completely electronic system which also focuses on improving the quality of the healthcare delivered by the organization.

CHNWV has developed an approach that has kept members’ revenue streams at the forefront while ensuring EHR acceptance and implementation success.  CHNWV provides a level of training not found within the commercial software vendor community.  A four (4) FTE provider organization receives over 800 hours of training with CHNWV's implementation and training plan.  In addition, you will receive 160 hours of work flow assessment and work flow construction, 200 hours of configuration and 40 hours of technical hardware/infrastructure assessment/construction.  In conjunction with the above mentioned hours, you will also receive over 350 hours of project management support from a skilled CHNWV staff member to help ensure that your EHR implementation is successful.

CHNWV works with each health center as they prepare for and embrace electronic medical records and assumes a leadership role, along with member site project leads, to ensure the success of each implementation.  An EHR is a very complex piece of software. It is not something that is "plug and play."  Even commercial systems require hundreds of decisions on configuration and setup prior to implementation. Studies show that almost half of complex software implementations fail, and usually for the same reasons: vague objectives, bad planning and estimation, poor project management, insufficient involvement by senior staff, and poor vendor performance.

It is important to realize that implementation doesn't start when your organization purchases an EHR product, but, rather, as soon as your organization accepts the idea of moving from paper to an electronic system.  CHNWV works with you right from the start to help ensure your success with our readiness assessment of your organization.  Our process helps you to understand the current problems within your organization, to figure out how it should function, and identify what keeps your organization and its current system from working in an ideal way.
